MOVIES

Elvis acted in 31 films as an actor, his first 16 movies where:
  • In 1956 he acted in the film ''Love Me Tender'', interpreting the character called Clint Reno. This was his first movie.

  • In 1957, he acted in the film ''Loving You'', it was his first color movie, he was interpreting the role of Deke Rivers. In this same year he also acted in the film ''Jailhouse Rock'' , interpreting Vince Everett.

  • In 1958, he acted in ''King Creole'', playing the role of Danny Fisher.

  • In 1960, he acted in the movie ''GI Blues''. In this same year, he acted in the film ''Flaming Star'', interpreting ''Pacer''.

  • In 1961 he acted in the film ''Wild in the country'', playing the young rebel Glenn Tyler. Also, acted in ''Blue Hawaii'', playing as Chad Gates.

  • In 1962, he played the paper of Toby Kwimper in the movie ''Follow That Dream''. Also acted in the film ''Kid Galahad'' and ''Girls!, Girls!, Girls!'', in the first interpreting the character of Joan Blackman, and in the second one as Ross Carpenter.

  • In 1963, he acted in two movies. The first one was called ''It Happened at the World's fair'' and the second one ''Fun in Acapulco''

  • In 1964, he acted as ''Josh Morgan and Jodie Tatum'' in the movie ''Kissin' Cousin''. He performed the character of ''Lucky Jackson'' in the film ''Viva Las Vegas''. Finally in the movie of ''Roustabout'' he performed the character of Charlie Rogers.

BIOGRAPHY

Elvis Aaron Presley was born on January 8of the year 1935 in Tupelo, Mississippi. Also called ''The King''. He was a rock singer and icon of popular music. He was the inspiration for many singers of this genre and also for the ones outside of it. Also, acted in many films.
His father was called Vernon and his mother Gladys. His brother was called Jesse Aaron Presley that dead when he was born. His childhood was very hard and the family decided to move to Memphis where they find stability. His father saw that Elvis had a big passion for music, so he bought his first guitar when Elvis was ten years old.
When he was nineteen years, for his mother's birthday, he recorded a CD with two songs: My happiness and That's When Your Heartache Begin.
The Sun Records owner, Sam Phillips, never hear him, until he returned twice more, also recorded two songs at every opportunity. Three months later, hired him to record an album.
He perform military service during 1958 and 1960 in Bad Nauheim, where he met Ann Priscilla Beaulieu which became his wife some years later.
In the 60's, Presley acted in many films. He approximately rolls three films per year. He admired James Dean and Marlon Brando. In 1964 the passion for rock was descending in the level of sales and popularity.
On May 1 of 1967, Elvis Presley married to Priscilla Ann-Beaulieau. One year later they had a girl called Lisa Marie Presley. In that year ''The King'' returns to the top with his Comeback Special for T.V. In this year he return to the concerts.'
In the 70's , Elvis become a myth of music. He divorced from Priscilla in 1972, because of this fact, he went into a depressive mood. In 1973, he conducted the first concert by via satellite in history. In this decade, he started to become dependent to drugs and food, which deteriorated his health, causing his entering to the hospital.
In 1973, Priscilla presented the divorce petition and the custody of Lisa Marie with the arguments that she can't remain in the atmosphere of loneliness, dissatisfaction, infidelities that his husband's fame produce. During 1976 and 1977, Elvis became another person with his overweight and problems to memorize the song's lyrics. His last performing was in June 26 of 1977 in Indianapolis.
In August 16, Elvis arrives to his mansion and during the morning occupies of the work and the details of his tour. At 7 am he takes a flight to Portland in order to continue with his tour and went to his room to sleep. Around noon, Elvis was found unconscious in the bathroom of his room, and was transferred to Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis. Finally, he was pronounced dead in this day of the year 1977.
